The Learning Environment

Our Pre-school runs from the village hall which overlooks the playing field. We are adjacent to the Galleries village shop and surrounded by beautiful countryside which provides great potential for exploring the local environment.

Within the building we have a main Pre-school room providing opportunities for role-play, construction, small world play, book sharing, investigations and mark-making.

The entrance hall contains named coat pegs and drawers and resources for cooking, indoor sand and water play, tactile/sensory exploration and arts and crafts.

We have an external door to our Pre-school room providing the possibility of direct free-flow access to the Pre-school garden behind the Hall. The garden provides opportunities for creating potions in the mud kitchen, digging, planting and exploring the natural environment, and enjoying outdoor sand and water play. We also frequently use the playing field which allows plenty of space for energetic games and enjoying the small shallow stream.

We regularly use the main hall which provides space for ride-on vehicles, parachute games, large scale construction and obstacle courses.
