Our staff team

A high adult: child ratio is essential in providing good quality pre-school care. The adults at each morning session comprise between three and five qualified and experienced staff and at least one additional adult volunteer from our rota of parents, grandparents and members of our local community. We also sometimes have trainee teachers or students studying for Early Years degrees on long term placement with us. During the afternoon sessions, when we have less children attending, we have at least 2 qualified staff members working.

Our Pre-school Manager is Debbie Giles.
Debbie has a NVQ3 in Caring for Children and Young People, and a BA Hons in Childhood and Youth Studies. Debbie's previous childcare experience includes leading a baby unit for children aged 3 months to 2.5 years in Bedfordshire, and leading a toddler room and a pre-school room in a nursery school near Salisbury. Debbie has 3 children of her own. Debbie works on all four days that the Pre-school is open.
