Watch out Masterchef here we come!

We had a job to do on the way into the forest today. We foraged for wild garlic, pine nuts, olive oil, parmesan and a pestle! Everyone helped to make a wild garlic pesto then we all tried it and gave it the thumbs up! Sorry if we smelt a little fruity on our return! Our Forest Special Helper set up the fire circle and kelly kettle for our snack of hot choc and biscuit, that's their job from now on.
After snack we met some woodland forest friends that needed help to build themselves some dens. We split into 5 groups with an adult per group. We used resources always available in our activity bag: Tarps, rope, scissors, peelers, pens, paper, string and a net. We toured each others dens and looked at their facilities, some were watertight, some had a dining area and some were very cosy. Dens that had been made of logs and sticks could be left intact to be enjoyed again another time.
Next week we will be crafting something beautiful to bring out from the woodland.
